The Fees and Expenses grade for Singapore remains Below Average, according to a report published by the MorningStar on 30 March 2022. The use of front loads, limited availability of retrocession-free share classes (with retrocession fees making up around half of the total expense ratio), and several high asset-weighted median fees contribute negatively to the grade.
The median fee charged by equity funds in Singapore is 1.79%, compared to 0.63% in the US.
